Ryan Jankow
PRESIDENT
In 2009, Ryan founded Jankow Companies and has since cultivated the organization into a diversified real estate development company specializing in the ownership, management, and development of properties in New York’s Capital Region. Over the past decade, Jankow Companies has developed upwards of $60 million in property with a portfolio including multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial properties. His passion and drive for the industry keep him thinking outside the box and hands-on in every company project. In 2018, Ryan was named one of Albany’s “40 under 40”. In 2019, Albany Business Review named Jankow Companies one of the Largest Commercial Real Estate Developers in the Capital Region.
Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from the University at Albany. In addition to leading Jankow Companies, Ryan also co-owns one of the most successful restaurants in the Capital Region – earning various “Best of” local recognition. Over the years, Ryan has shared his success with dozens of local charities and organizations. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors for University at Albany Athletics. Ryan currently resides in Guilderland, NY with his wife Chelsie and their dog, Sven. They enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Michael Hipp
HEAD OF ASSET MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS
Michael Hipp joined Jankow Companies, LLC in 2018, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of many of the investments of Jankow Companies, LLC and its affiliates, including Jankow Management, Inc. Michael also works closely with Ryan on all aspects of pre-development and development of Jankow Companies’ various projects. He is a member of the New York Capital Region Apartment Association (NYCRAA) and a former officer of the Syracuse Surety Association.
Prior to joining Jankow Companies, LLC, Michael spent six years at a Fortune 100 insurance company where he was a surety underwriter. In that role, Michael was responsible for financially underwriting and consulting with construction companies throughout New York State with revenues ranging from $1 million to $350 million a year. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University at Albany.
Michael currently resides in Albany, NY with his girlfriend Jessica. In their downtime they enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Michael Choppa
HEAD OF CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
Michael Choppa is responsible for all aspects of both new development and property upgrade construction projects. Mr. Choppa has an extensive knowledge of building practices and delivery systems honed over 38 years working in multiple field and office-based construction roles. He has managed a wide array of construction projects, including large commercial retail, multi-family housing, hospitality, educational buildings, healthcare and industrial facilities throughout the Northeast. Mike is a father of five daughters and resides in Guilderland, NY with his fiancé.
Theresa Fuoto
PROPERTY MANAGER & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Although fairly new to the property management world, Theresa has been planning events and taking care of customers for many years. She began her career in the restaurant industry, managing, and planning events for City Line Bar and Grill. After discovering her love of events and wanting to take it to a new level, she began her journey with Jankow Companies, managing The Rise | Pine Hills. When she’s not throwing awesome resident events and giving all the dogs at The Rise | Pine Hills treats, she enjoys cooking, hanging out with her friends, and snuggling with her two enormous Maine Coons, Bentley and Hagrid.
Katlin Planty
PROPERTY MANAGER
Katlin began her property management career in 2016 working for a non-profit under the Department of Housing and Urban Development. With the knowledge she gained in multifamily, low-income and section 8 housing in that role, Katlin knew helping others find their apartment home was the perfect next step! She has managed multiple apartment communities throughout the Capital Region, as well as commercial and mixed-use buildings. Katlin started with Jankow Companies in June 2022 managing Tall Oaks Apartments located in Niskayuna, NY. As a Capital Region native, Katlin spends most weekends with her family on Sacandaga Lake. When not at the lake, you may find Katlin playing volleyball with her husband Evan, or enjoying local events.
Clarissa Bouck
PROPERTY MANAGER
Clarissa Bouck has been in the property management business for 11 years. She loves working with current and new residents. She prides herself on her open and communicative property management style. Clarissa’s favorite part about her career -- getting to know her residents and being available for them beyond the move-in and move-out process.
Clarissa enjoys reading, history, documentaries, and Harry Potter. She has three beautiful children (four if you count her husband!), two dogs, and 12 chickens. Her family’s dream -- to have a farm someday.
Michael Malone
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Mike is responsible for maintenance operations at 11 South Lake. He has 35 years of supervising maintenance for hotels and multifamily properties throughout Albany and Colonie. Mike enjoys meeting new tenants, playing cards, golf, and spending the weekends camping.
John Anderson
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
John Anderson is the full-time maintenance technician at The Rise | Pine Hills. He brings over 30 years of experience in the industry to his role. His favorite part -- doing unit turnovers, and spending time with his coworkers and the residents of The Rise | Pine Hills. John holds an associate degree in business management. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, hanging out with his dog Supreme, and spending time with family.
Brady Matthews
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Brady Matthews is the maintenance technician at Iron Point Apartments. Brady has worked in the maintenance field for ten years, specifically in apartment complexes. He’s had the pleasure of learning a lot of what he knows from working with his father, a master plumber, over the years. Outside work, Brady enjoys spending time with his wife and cat, learning how to repair older electronics, and watching football or MMA. Brady also loves golf and going on long walks on the beach to watch the sunset. He is thrilled to be a part of the Jankow Companies team.
Amanda Mattson
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Amanda Mattson is the maintenance technician for Tall Oaks Apartments. She began her career in the maintenance realm only a few years ago but grew up with a passion for handy work. She enjoyed working alongside her stepfather, a skilled carpenter, who showed her the ropes. In her free time, Amanda enjoys hanging out with her husband and dogs, Penny and Bella. You may also find her helping friends and family with home renovations or cooking something delicious on the grill. Amanda is excited to continue learning about property maintenance as a Jankow Companies team member!
William All
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Bill joined the Jankow Companies’ team in the fall of 2023 as a maintenance technician. He began his career at 18 working in the plumbing industry. From there, he went on to learn new construction, both commercial and residential. In his free time, Bill enjoys writing, playing, and performing music. He also loves hanging out with his grandkids, Raelene and Kai.
